I don't have any digital pictures of you two as babies. I hope to someday have a scanner so that I can get all of our pictures digital.
So here are some memories. Jenny weighted 7lbs, and Justin weighted 5lbs, 13 oz. I don't remember how tall you were, but shorter than Summer when she was born. You were both perfect when you were born. No health problems at all. You were born on your due date, which was a miracle. Dr. Moore tried two or three times to get me to go into labor early-but no dice. I had to have a c-section to deliver Jenny one and a half hours after Justin was born. She was a bit reluctant to leave her nice warm home, with all of the benefits. So we had to stay in the hospital for 5 days so that I could recover from major surgery.
We finally got home, my Dad and his wife Glenda had helped with Summer. They brought Summer home and Glenda stayed for a few days to help me. Then my Grandma Adams came to help for a little bit.
You were both real good babies. Justin needed a little bit more care because he was so little. Jenny was good natured about not being held as much as Justin was. We only had one crib when you were first born, so we put it up in the living room and the two of you slept together.
One night while Dad and I were giving you two your bath, there was a knock on the door. One of us opened the door, I think it was Dad. There on the ground in front of the door was a glass Christmas tree jar filled with candy. We thought that was so sweet of someone to think of us. As we looked closer at the jar, we could see that there was a roll of money in with the candy. We took the money out and to our surprise there was $100.00!!!!!! Wow, we couldn't believe it! Who would have been so thoughtful as to have given us $100.00!
We never found out who gave us the money, we speculated at the time, but never found out who gave us the gift. Thank you, whoever you are, that meant so much to us.
As you two got older we got another crib so that you would each have your own bed. We were renting a two story house with three bedrooms when you were a year old. Justin and Jenny shared a room. Jenny decided that she didn't want to stay in her own bed. Each morning for awhile I would go into your room to get you two up and Jenny would be in Justin's crib. We couldn't figure out how she was doing this, because we knew that she couldn't climb out of the crib, onto the floor, and back into Justin's crib. One morning there was a big crash, and then lots of crying. Justin was in his crib crying and Jenny was on the floor next to the tipped over toy shelf crying. So then I knew what she was doing. We had two toy shelves in between the two cribs. Jenny would climb out of her crib, and crawl across the shelve, then climb into Justin's crib. What a little stinker! So we moved the toy shelve and that put an end to her sharing Justin's crib. Here is another fun thing that you two did. All of the sudden your toys and binkies started to disappear. We would look all over for you binkies. Somehow were discovered that you two were stuffing all of your small treasures down the heater vent. We cleaned the vent out and then Dad screw the vent cover to the floor. Here is one last adventure. I was upstairs one day and heard you two laughing and having a real good time. That is was always a bad sign with you two. So I went downstairs to check things out. I found that you two had gotten out the red punch from the refrigerator and were having a Cool Aide fight on the new light tan carpet that we had just bought. Wow, it is a wonder that you two lived to be 26. Back then I know that I didn't enjoy your adventures as much as I should have, but I am thankful for all of the great memories that you two have given me! Thank you!
Justin and Jenny you were a long awaited Christmas miracle! For some reason I couldn't get pregnant. We were trying all kinds of different treatments. I was on Clomide, and messed up my doses and I could see on my chart were I ovulated twice. Heavenly Father wanted us to have both of you at the same time. I always wanted twins, and Heavenly Father blessed us with you two. What a great blessing.
You two both continue to be great blessings in our family. Thank you for all of your love and support through the years.
Heavenly Father loves you both very much, you can see that in all of the blessings that he has given you and your families.
We all love you and wish you a very happy birthday!
