We Are Going "Green"!

Today we decided to be kind to the environment, and not pollute the ozone by driving to Salt Lake, which would also cause global warming, because today is a red day as far as air quality is concerned...........and rode the new FrontRunner train from Clearfield to downtown Salt Lake.

No, no really we took FrontRunner for FUN! That's right fun. Because as Tyson would say "Global warming is a bunch of.............." Well, you know what he would say.

So we parked at the Clearfield station at about 11:00am, and paid for our tickets. The FrontRunner arrived, "All Aboard". Nana, Danny, Jenny, Blaine, and Grandma Nemanich got on board the train.

We rode on the lower level of the train going to Salt Lake. It was a pretty smooth ride, and there wasn't a lot of people on the train. It didn't go as fast as I thought that it would. Danny got her sunglasses out to wear and realized that they were broken. Funny Danny, but she wore them anyway.

We made it to Salt Lake just in time to jump onto Trax. We rode Trax to the Gateway. It was nice not to have to find and pay for a parking spot there. That is a nightmare!

Jenny and Danny wanted to play in the Olympic water fountain.Blaine wasn't to happy about getting all wet. He cried a little bit. Danny was the one that wanted to get the water fun going and she didn't even get wet.

We walked around a bit and then went to the food court and had a not so good lunch. Oh well.

Danny did some shopping at Hollisters, of course, and tried to find some new sunglasses.

Thank goodness Danny didn't buy either of these sunglasses-but I kind of liked the Willy Wanka ones. HaHaHa!!!

Blaine tried to be a good sport in the stroller, but it was hot and he was tired.So we decided to head back to the Trax stop at about 2:30pm. We had to wait a bit for Trax, but luckily FrontRunner was sitting there waiting for us. This time we rode in the upper level. They have some tables, and electric plugs up there. The train swayed a lot more, we figured it would, and we had to wait on the tracks for a while. But it was nice not having to drive in the beginning of rush hour.

We got home and everyone was bushed from walking in the heat. But we had a fun time. We will have to do it again!

Life Changes!

Hey Everyone,

Life is great, but changing in so many ways. This last Friday Emily hit the 32 week mark. So only 8 weeks until the expected arrival of our miracle, Emma Bailey. We are really excited and terrified. Right now it seems hard to believe that there is going to be a new person in our family, even with her kick-boxing sessions in Emily's tummy. We are hoping to post a new ultra-sound picture of Emma this week, but that will all depend on whether she will uncover her face for the picture. The last two ultrasounds she has crossed her arms in front of her face. We think that she doesn't really like our doctor. Every time she hears his voice she wiggles, kicks, and gets all upset. Hopefully, when it's time to deliver she will be willing to come out even though he'll be the one on the other side.

Another change in our lives is our new apartment in Layton. It is so roomy, nice, and is without toxic mold in the walls and ceiling. The neighbors are good and come from very diverse backgrounds. It's pretty cool, and a great missionary opportunity. Our new ward is fairly small (at least in attending members). We never really have to worry about getting a good bench except during missionary comings and goings.

Justin's first half of accelerated Physics is almost done!!!!!! Then we have a weekend and the second half starts. We keep telling each other that it's a good thing (after staying up til mid-night with homework) because it shaves a year off of Justin's schooling. Luckily, Emily's dad is a physics major that has been spending many hours to make sense of all the homework and notes that the teacher assigns. Even with all the long hours (most of them boring) we can see why we felt impressed to take the physics now and not later. It hasn't been the easiest thing, especially with losing 40 hours of work a month, but it has and will be well worth it.

Emily has some more changes than just the expanding waist line. She was given a job last week at Curves that's less than a 1/2 mile from our apartment. We are hoping that it will all work out okay. She was hired for evening shifts, but now they want her to cover a couple 5 am shifts. This will just have to be temporary because Emily doesn't do well waking up at 5 am let alone being at work at 5 am.

Well, we know this is a long blog but it makes up for our lack of blogging. We will put up new pictures of our apartment and Emma the next time we get on. We love you all so much.

Happy Birthday Baby Blaine!

Blaine turned one year old on June 13, 2008. We can't believe how fast this last year has gone by. It seems like just yesterday when we were at the hospital wondering if Blaine would ever be able to come home. Blaine has brought so much joy to our family. We couldn't imagine life without him. I like how Summer has put some fun information about the boys on their birthdays, so I thought I would do that too!
