Ready or Not!

For the past week or so Emily's been having more and more contractions. At one point we really felt that Emma was going to be coming soon if Emily didn't take a break from working. So her work has allowed her to take leave for a little while so that Emma wouldn't come too premature. We had our doctor's appointment today, and got the whole work up. Emma is finally growing again (she's no longer stuck in the 4 lb range) and is a little over 6 lbs. We also got a picture that we will try to put up, but its a bit dark. She has very chubby cheeks, and a foot squished into her face. Yeap, a foot this time. Her middle toe is longer than her big toe like her mom. Emily is also dilated to a two, and the doctor says that she could come any time. Which we hope will be soon.

School is going well. I only have 16 days left (that includes the weekends). You really start to realize that you are doing something too often when you start to dream about it. I really don't like having Physics in my dreams. Something off the subject of school, I got a calling in our new ward. I'm now an Elders quorum instructor. It'll be a fun calling, and a lot less stressful than being the Elders quorum president.

Emily's life is good. She's been quite a trooper. We calculated the other day and realized that she's been pregnant for about a year now (with a two week break) when you count both pregnancies. Now that she isn't working really right now she has been trying to find things to do so she doesn't go crazy. She is starting to quilt and sew again. She made some decorative pillows and is working on a quilt for Emma. She has also read a lot of books and articles preparing for Emma's arrival. But even with all of the hobbies and stuff, she is bored. She is really wanting Emma to come soon.

The Rock Heroes!!

This 4th of July was more eventful for me than it usually has been. On the morning of the 3rd Spencer texted me and asked me how I felt about being in a parade on a trailer rocking out to 80's music. I told him it would be fun to do it. So that night me, Jay, and Brad met at Spencers house to figure out our costumes. (You'll all be happy to see what we came up with) We also picked out the music that we would be rocking out to!

So on Friday morning we got to Spencer's house at 10 and started decorating the trailer with signs that said "Rock Heroes" and Spencer's mom put some red, white, and blue decorations. And Spencer set up the sound system that would rock our 80's music from "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" to (Dad's favorite Neil Diamond's) "America" to "We Built This City on Rock and Roll."
As we pulled out into the parade route we started the music and began rocking out. Silly me, I wore high heels and had a hard time balancing as Dad drove us down the route. There were a couple of times that I almost fell over, but luckily I didn't.

We got some sweet pictures and Spencer's sister Jenifer recorded all of it on their video recorder. It was pretty fun to watch.
This little boy was so cute. He just stared at me and wouldn't take the candy, so I just left him a handful of it.
After the parade was over, Jay and Brad left to go to other activities and Spencer and I went to the park at the end of parade for lunch. Someone for the city got up on the stage to start announcing the awards for the parade and He said "First place goes to.... THE ROCK HEROES!" Spencer and I were lauging so hard. We went up on the stage and got our trophy (Which was a bottle of G2 with a little plastic man on the top of it) and the man turned to me and said "It must have been hard to balance on those high heels". I told him it was pretty interesting. We texted Jay and Brad to tell them that we got first and we are all really excited about it. (Especially since we only began working on the 12 hours earlier...)
We decided that we had so much fun that we are going to do it in the South Weber Day's Parade as well! We will get more music and decorate the trailer more. But it will be great! We had a lot of fun!!Spencer! Me! Brad! Jay!
