One of my favorite talks this last General Conference was an especially powerful message from Elder Holland. It seems very appropriate to share this time of year:

"Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path—the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel. "

On Easter I had fun with the camera taking pictures of cute Emma so I thought I'd post a few on here for everyone to see!

WICKED adventures!

So today Mom and I went down to Salt Lake because I had to turn in my application for my license and while we were there we decided to go wait at Capital Theatre to see If we could win tickets to tonights showing of WICKED

we got to the theatre at about 4.30 and they werent even lining up for the drawing till 5.30 so we just decided to wait outside the theatre.

We thought it would be fun to get pictures with the sign! SIGH... I want to go...

Anyways Finally the line started to form. Slowly but surely. After a while it became HUGE! So the guys in the witches hats finally started handing out the cards for us to write our names on.

Then we would put the card in this big cauldren and get our hand stamped.

After waiting another 30 minutes they finally did the drawing... WE didnt get called. Sad....

But the day wasnt without excitement. While waiting in line mom spotted THIS GUY....

At first we werent sure if it was him, but then some other girls got their picture with him, so we decided it was. So I wanted my picture too. Daryn was really nice and talked to us for quite a while. It was pretty great!

Advertising Delemas....

Okay I'm calling on the help of my family! Spencer and I are wracking our brains trying to figure out how to get clients into the salon. I know it will take a while to build my clientele, but we need advertising ideas!
Current Ideas...
I have a startup promotion going right now.. The first appointment someone makes with me they will get $5 off. I will give them 4 of my business cards with their name on it to give to their friends. Then when the friends come in they will ALSO receive $5 off their first appointement and 4 business cards. And as I receieve the cards back with names on them I will keep track and that person will receive $3 off their next appointment for 1 card. $5 for 2 cards. $7.50 for 3. And $10 for 4!

Spencer is creating my business cards right now. They will be CUTE!

We were talking at the salon yesterday and we are thinking we are going to get shirts and go to like the parades coming up this summer and hand out flyers to advertise for the Salon. It has only been opened a few months so we need to do all we can.

I will try to get all of you some business cards so you can refer people to me. But till then you can send them to the Salon. They can call 801-621-4355 to set and appointment with me Or they can so go myspace, facebook, blogspot or email me at the address above. :D

Laptop Fun!

Today after conference we all had our laptops out. Recently a few people in the family have gotten new ones. We all have different kinds: Spencer and I have a Dell and a HP, Kody and Brooke have a PC laptop, Mom and Dad have a Toshiba, Justin and Emily have a Compaq, and Jenny and Tyson recently got a HP-(which "ISNT the same thing as a Compaq" says Tyson)

Tyson and Jenny went to Tysons families house and before they left Tyson wanted JUST Spencer working on his computer downloading stuff.. So this is what happened.....
