Thank you Uncle Kody and Aunt Brooke!

The kids LOVE Elefun!

And Andrew loves his tent! He has been sleeping in it almost every night since you gave it to him for Christmas! I had to take it down yesterday (to get the house ready to sell), and he was pretty upset about it! He said he likes it because it's cool, it makes him feel like he's camping, and because it was a gift!

Hannah Update

Hannah is so much fun! She toddles around babbling or singing everywhere she goes. She doesn't say any real words yet, unless you count "Da-da," which she says all the time. She loves to eat most things and especially loves drinking her milk from her Princess sippy cups from Nana and Papa! She usually takes two good naps a day and loves to play with her Daddy when he comes home from work!

Oh yeah, the runny nose too! The poor little gal had the stomach flu last week and now has a runny nose and cough that doesn't want to go away!

My friend, Sarah, recently tooks some portraits of Hannah for her birthday. Here are a few of my favorites. There are more posted on Sarah's blog: http://sarahpalfreyman.blogspot.com/2009/03/hannah.html
OR if you REALLY have some time to kill, you can view the whole session at Sarah's website. Just click on the "proofing" tab and enter summer as the password.

Bathing Beauty

We went to Kiddie Kandids this week for Hannah's 6-month portraits. I just couldn't resist dressing her in her darling ruffle-bum swimsuit!

Hannah's Birth

Hannah Lee Anderson was born on February 14th, 2008, Valentine's Day (she has a cute little heart shaped birth mark on one of her legs). She was born in Ohio. She weighted 7lbs 1 oz, and was 20 1/2 inches long. She has lots of dark hair and dark eyes. Hannah was born with some breathing problems, they called it a type of pneumonia. She had to stay in the hospital for about 8 days.
Bryan took me, Andrew and Logan up to the hospital to see Summer and Hannah.
Summer really wanted one of these giant cups. At first she didn't think that she was going to get one, but they finally brought her one! I am sure Summer will be thrilled to have this picture posted. Hey, it's history! Right?
Hannah was in the NICU so the boys couldn't see her. But they had fun playing in Summer's room watching TV, playing with the bed, and eating Valentine's treats. Summer and Bryan were able to stay at the hospital with Hannah. That was a real blessing. I was at their home with Andrew and Logan. It was a hard week for us all. Hannah was given a blessing and she began to improve.
Hannah came home while Andrew was still at school. So that gave Logan some much needed one on one with Summer, Bryan and Hannah. Kitty wanted to see Hannah too.
When Andrew came home from school he wasn't to interested in Hannah. But later on that night he held her. Hannah has her brothers wrapped around her tiny fingers.

Hannah's Blessing Day

Hannah Lee Anderson was given her name and a blessing in the Shaker Heights Ward of the Kirtland Ohio Stake on Sunday, May 4th 2008.

Thank you, Jenny, for the beautiful crocheted blanket you made for Hannah! It looked perfect with her gown! What a special gift from her Aunt Jenny!

Hannah wore a beautiful white gown that I fell in love with 7 years ago, when I was pregnant with Andrew. When I found out I was pregnant with a girl this time, I went to the Ebay store to buy the gown only to find that this one was no longer available. I emailed the gownmaker and asked her if there was any way she would make one for me. She said that the fabric was discontinued, but she might have enough left to make just one more. She did! And Hanah looked like an angel in it!

We were so blessed to have Nana, Papa, and Aunt Danielle there with us! (So sorry about the stomach flu when you got here!)

Thank you for making Hannah's special day even better!

Thanks, Mom!

Dear Mom,

How can we ever thank you for everything you did for us these past few weeks? That first week, when Hannah was in the hospital, was so difficult for us! It would have been unbearable if I was also worrying about who was caring for Andrew and Logan all day (and night!), or if Bryan had to stay home with them and leave me to face the hopital alone. I really needed him there with me, and you made that possible. I missed the boys and wished I could be home with them, but I always knew that were in good hands! THANK YOU!

Thanks for letting us sleep in when Hannah had been up during the night! Thanks for taking Andrew to school every morning and enduring Logan's diaper battles ("I NEED the motorcycle diaper!") The boys say, "Thanks for the chocolate milk, Nana!" Thanks for doing my cooking and cleaning and laundry for three weeks. Thanks for giving Bryan and me a much needed date night! Thanks for supporting me through all my breastfeeding issues and helping me to feel like a good Mom! My entire life, you have been the definition of selfless service to me! I just hope I can follow your example and be as great a Mom as you!

I miss you already!
Love, Summer
